Press one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the dish.
In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough layer.
Place the second can of crescent rolls over the filling.
Pour melted butter over the top and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
