Chicken with Buttered Noodles

Chicken with Buttered Noodles is the perfect balance of tender, seasoned chicken paired with buttery noodles that are lightly flavored with garlic and herbs.

Equipment

  • Large skillet or sauté pan
  • Large pot for boiling noodles
  • Tongs or spatula
  • Strainer
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients
  

  • Chicken:
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter divided
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Buttered Noodles:
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, cook egg noodles, and drain.
  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet. Sear chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Remove chicken, add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet, and sauté.
  • Toss noodles in garlic butter. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Slice chicken, serve over noodles with parsley and Parmesan.
