Equipment

  • Slow cooker (4-6 quart size works best)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs carrots peeled and sliced, or use baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the Carrots:

  • Mix the Glaze:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until well mixed.

  • Cook on Low or High:
  • Cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, stirring halfway through to distribute the glaze.
  • The carrots should be tender and coated in a thick, glossy glaze.
  • Serve Warm:
  • Transfer the carrots to a serving dish and drizzle any remaining glaze from the slow cooker over the top.
