The Amish Hamburger Steak Bake

- Hamburger Patties:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Mushroom Sauce:
- 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp oil for searing patties
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Form into patties.
Sear patties in a skillet until browned, 2–3 minutes per side.
Sauté onions in the same skillet. Add mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce; whisk until smooth.
Arrange patties in the baking dish and pour sauce over them.
Cover and bake for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and cooked through.
