This Swiss Chicken Casserole
This Swiss Chicken Casserole is the ultimate comfort food. With tender chicken breasts layered in a creamy sauce, topped with melted Swiss cheese and a crispy, golden breadcrumb topping, this dish brings cozy flavors together in the best way.
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 4 slices Swiss cheese or 1 cup shredded
- 1 cup stuffing mix or bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Place chicken in dish, season with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder.
In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream until smooth. Pour over chicken.
Layer Swiss cheese slices over the sauce.
In another bowl, combine stuffing mix with melted butter and sprinkle over cheese.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until chicken is cooked, cheese is melted, and topping is golden brown.
