Walking Taco Casserole

This Walking Taco Casserole has all the fun of a walking taco, layered into a single dish that’s easy to bake and serve. Imagine layers of seasoned ground beef, creamy refried beans, and a topping of crushed tortilla chips or corn chips, all baked until bubbly. Just add your favorite taco toppings, and you’re ready to go!

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Mixing spoon
  • Measuring spoons and cups

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa or 1 can Rotel
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 3 cups crushed corn chips or tortilla chips
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce diced tomatoes, sour cream, green onions, jalapeños

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef; drain. Add taco seasoning and salsa or Rotel.
  • Spread refried beans in baking dish, then top with beef mixture and cheese.
  • Layer crushed chips on top.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Add toppings and serve.
